Brooklyn Bridge

In the Brooklyn Bridge video, it shows the American character. When John Roebling came to America for  an engineering, One said “he looked up to his teacher and thought that gave him the dream to come to America.” When he was young he always had a passion for it. John came into America to an Utopian farm land. That was not his idea of challenges. He started a steel wire factory. He had a son, Washington Roebling. He moved to New york to start the creation of the Brooklyn Bridge. That shows the American story by having a dream and trying to fulfill it. Having the best for America at that time. It took years and tons of hard work to complete the bridge but still today many find it a grand masterpiece.

The Brooklyn Bridge looms majestically over New York City's East River, linking the two boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Since 1883, its granite towers and steel cables have offered a safe and scenic passage to millions of commuters and tourists, trains and bicycles, pushcarts and cars. The bridge's construction took 14 years, involved 600 workers and cost $15 million (more than $320 million in today's dollars). At least two dozen people died in the process, including its original designer. Now more than 125 years old, this iconic feature of the New York City skyline still carries roughly 150,000 vehicles and pedestrians every day.
