Is Death Row Good?

Being put on death row means you are awaiting execution. Some people as if death row is good or bad, and i believe it is good. In the bible, it states Genesis 9:6 ""whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man." Without using execution and death row, it was proven that twice as many innocent people are killed. When the execution was stopped the amount of killings doubled, and were cut in half when it was brought back into place.

Some people argue that you do not have to kill people who are murderers, even thought the Bible states it, you can give them life in prison. This does not satisfy God's demands, nor is it good for society. By giving them life in prison it jeopardizes the guards life and the possibility of escape. If a person is a murderer, they deserve to be treated as they treated their victim. I strongly believe death row is a good thing and it should be continued.

  1. I am not a big religous person, but I agree with you on this. I have always been told that I am harsh for saying, "an eye for an eye." I think that people who kill others should have to die and I think they should have to suffer the same way they made the others suffer. Call it cruel and unusal if you will, but if they were to go so far to kill someone they deserve the same treatment.

  2. I agree with you Kara, killing people is not right at all. I think murders should get killed for killing others. If we let them go they might keep killing people I believe murders are heartless.

  5. I agree with Aaron's statements describing that you do not have to kill people who are murderers. This is not right at all. Also, there are many stories of innocent people being convicted of murder. Detectives and officers judge others or talk a person into believing that they actually did committ a crime. They can do this by hours and hours of trying to convince someone this truly happen, when overall they are innocent, sent to prison, and put on death row. The detective tend to overlook evidence found by technology because of being prejustice.
