ReplyDeleteyou guys did a good job telling how important the music of this time was. Im glad you told Elvis got his start from here. He is an American Icon and helps give a name to this place. Sam Phillips sounds like an awesome guy.
ReplyDeleteGood back ground info, I didn't know that Presley had signed with Sun Records and that it was in Memphis!!
ReplyDeleteYou had some good stuff to say. I've been to Sun Records and checked it out before. Cool place. I would only say to slow down some and speak up! Good job.
ReplyDeleteI never had heard of Sun Studios, so to hear that Elvis got his start here, and they got their fame from him was interesting. Good mixing things up by using a video clip.
ReplyDeleteThis was a project on a place that I have never heard of before. It is something that is important to the history of the US and has had some great American icons born there.
ReplyDeletei had learn allot of this and i didnt know that he didnt know that he drop of his high school because his father died.it sad to hear that because he didnt had no support and that's why he couldnt gradute.any way nice project.
ReplyDeleteyou guys did amazing work. I never heard of Sun Studio until you guys mention it.
ReplyDeletewow this was great presentaion about the sun studios because in this world the music is more populare especialy in American people how it start was great.
ReplyDeleteI know that in our class over this past quarter, equality has been a major theme, especially in our Holding On book. You guys brought me back to the though of what the past was all about and how far we have come. Good topic guys, and great work.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know sun studio had the history of signing black artist. it was interesting to watch the vidoe of sam phillips and how important blues was back in the days.great job ladies.
ReplyDeletegreat video it really explained a more valuable information....chuck berry is my favorite rock n roll artist soo talking about rock n roll history it kinda reminded of him....good work ladies.......
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fun of Music but i liked the Idea people struggle to keep it live and finally succeed for their determination and that is what the American Dream is all about never give up thanks guys for presenting such an intersing story for your presentation.
ReplyDeleteI liked the video, it was a good opener to the presentation! Also, I had no clue who Sam Philips was, but learned a lot about him now! It is cool how he cared about others so much more than himself.
ReplyDeleteIncluding the video really helped convey the struggles that Sam Phillips had to go through to get his dream going. I thought the part about Elvis was interesting because I didn't know he was signed by Sun Records. I learned a lot in this presentation.
ReplyDeleteI found this presentation was well researched and presented fairly well. I like the link with Sun and the racial movement in music. Sun for a long time has been associated with the birth place of several forms of talent. I feel the presentation was intertwined very well, but I feel that the link to Evils should have seen a little more attention. The Elvis movement was up there with his push for blacks, that is, it showed a no diversity barrier in music
ReplyDeleteThis presentation was very well done. I enjoyed learning about Sun Reconds, and the history behind it all. Good job!
